What People Are Saying About Elevate

(Based on Survey Responses Collected in 2014 and quoted with permission).

Elevate is fantastic because it offers support for sufferers from those who truly care and understand, those that have the illness themselves. It is the only organisation locally where I have found I am accepted and truly understood.
~  Ann

Having the support of everyone at Elevate has made a real difference to my life. I no longer feel so isolated or ashamed of my condition. It’s great to have friends who really understand!
~ Anon

Elevate has helped enormously – just wish we lived nearer and could come more regularly.

~ Katieann

The nature of the illness means it can be very isolating so I think that it is very helpful knowing that you are not alone

~ Stephen Money

Meeting other people with the condition has helped me feel more confident about it & it’s nice to be around friends you don’t have to explain to or make excuses for not feeling up to doing things.

~Anon

It is good to come to a place where people accept and understand where I am coming from and are willing to share their stories. I am no longer isolated.

~ Katieann

Elevate is a safe, quiet relaxing environment in which you can meet and share with people who are in the same position as yourselves. If anyone is nervous about going for the first time, don’t be, they are a really friendly, caring group who really understand what you are going through. For me it is important to feel that you are not alone in this illness as it can be so isolating, also there are quiets areas available if you feel the need to chill in a quieter area.

~ Stephen Money

Never been to a group meeting but Elevate pop’s over to see they cheer me up and make the struggle with M.E. just that little bit more manageable.

~ Jamie

Elevate  has an online group on Facebook which I use daily getting support from others with ME. I also attend the meetings when I can.

~ Ann

Fantastic friends, amazing support group and always there to help, to listen and assist those in real need when the system fails.

~ Jamie
